Photographer’s Note
4 Reasons for respecting wood:
1. Clean up the air.
Tree foliage works as a natural air filter of particulate matter such as dust, micro sized metals and pollutants such as ozone, nitrogen oxides, ammonia and sulfur dioxides. Trees take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. Combined with the cooling effect of trees, these processes can have a significant impact on reducing smog and overall air pollution.
2. Trees improve water quality.
A healthy urban forest can have a strong influence on our region’s water quality. Tree canopies and root systems slow and reduce storm water runoff, flooding and erosion. Trees also help filter water runoff reducing potential sources of water pollution into our rivers and storm drains.
3. Trees save energy.
Trees cool the air naturally in two ways: through water evaporating from the leaves and direct shade. Homes shaded by trees need less energy for cooling which means lower monthly utility bills in summer and a reduced need for utilities to increase power generation to meet peak load demand.
4. The Woodoo master might get you if you don't...
****
I am so proud and happy with this photo. I saw this tree near "Birkat Ram" in the Golan heights (Up north of Israel) and I almost drove pass it when I suddenly understood what it looked like. It wasn't easy getting the right angle, and I feel that this photo is one of my bests. Besides, It reminds me of "lord of the rings"...
BTW
I know it's Voodoo and not Woodoo.
It's a little Pun I did on purpose

The always-surprising-Gilad is back!!
I haven’t been disrespectful of trees, but Woodoo is a sure good reason not to change my mind...
The dof and the background were great to impart the spooky mood.

Hi Gilad,
I loved your gallery, you are very sensitive to our world problems and I admire it a lot.
I like your woodoo allegory here, it is a very creative thinking way. Dark clouds and death branches under "woodoo master" is great for mystic compositioni I like it a lot, too.
Congrats, tfs

Hi Gilad,
Your Woodoo master reminds me of the old "Wicker Man" movie. as to the spelling, so what. My Cajun Mother said "Voudou", there are many variations. Anyway, a very impressive photo, a little creepy. I like that.
