I've carried this idea in my mind for a while.
Even before I was called for reserve duty in the war against the Hezbollah. I got my gun and constantly searched the sky for a good opportunity to realize the idea.

I feel this is a symbol of what we should strive for. Kinds of pipes of peace. When the only smoke coming out of the barrel will be fluffy clouds in the sky. Amen.

I took some nice shots, but non as good as this one. The trail of the plain (I think that what it was...) created the perfect graphic effect I needed. Besides, it blended into that cloud and it was perfect.
I just had to make sure I used the right aperture so keep it all sharp, and stretch my hands far enough to include it all in the composition.

Take a look at "A Different Look At Israel" presentations

Good idea Gilad,
The white gun smoke merges perfectly whit white clouds. Blue tones are beautiful too. You've done a good work with this pic, I like it very much.
Let me add only a note:
I hope the whites of smoke and clouds could be like whites of flags when war is over. For both factions.

Ciao,
Silvio

Hi Gilad
Didn’t see posts from you for a while, I guessed you were in reserve duty.
Nice idea, the white smoke mix great with the black gun.

I will wait for the next posts from there...

Hi Gilad,
Great, so symbolic picture and smart eye for such composition. I like especially the context of this pic to the actual politic situation... Wonderful cropping, sharpness and deep deep blue sky.

maki

Dang! This is fabulous! Your pictures has really inspired me to change the way I see things through the viewfinder. Thanks to your spectacular compositions, I really notice changes in the way my images are composed. I still can't believe the pictures you took in Israel is from Israel. You've really captured the beauty of the country. God bless and Godspeed to both Israel and Lebanon, especially those who are Christian, Druze and Muslims who have no affiliation with Hezbolahh. Why can't the rest of the Middle East be like Haifa where both Arabs and Jews work and live harmoniously together?
Stay safe, Gilad! - Mike Opinia

Personally, I'm against war and terrorism. But, I also understand that sometimes you have to speak with another language. Hopefully both sides will come to an understanding that our love for God, regardless how is called (Dios, Jehova, Allah, Buddha, Cristo, Ra, Zeus, etc), should unite men.

Peace.

Your image is strong, a graphic designer could use it to communicate a strong message.

Original, as usual, Gilad!
Implementation is excellent, using polarizer to enhance the white trail. I am happy to read you are back at home after all the fighting at the north and that the only use for your weapon was for posing...
:)
I saw that you took all your photo gear with you to the reserve - I guess you are not in the infantry...
LOL!
