As promised a view of the interior of the Church of the Transfiguration (previous image). An impressive structure with intricate architecture and artwork.
This image was taken just as they were beginning prayer. It was difficult to believe that the beautiful chant that filled the air was created by three monks that are part of the group at center.

Beautiful interior of the church. I like how the reflected light on the floor leads our eye into the frame and the singing monks. Perfectly framed at the sides of the big archway.

Hi David,
However, yours has just stunning detail!! I love the peacocks!! The light is wonderful as well. You have a really steady hand to shoot this as 1/25 with not tripod!!
Regards, Pat

A well composed shot of this beautiful church interior, and the lighting is well controlled.
I like how the details of the stained glass window can still be made out, and the warm lighting emphasises the peaceful atmosphere.
Good work.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Dave,
This shot has a great atmosphere - you can almost hear the singing and praying.
I like the soft light, the rounded arch and the details of the stained glass window.
Great result under not easy conditions!

Hi David,
A well composed shot with good use of the vertical format to achieve depth and various layers of interest. The low but effective lighting is apropos for the interior of this famous church, and a warm glow suffuses the entire scene. The dim figures of the monks are discernible. Good tight cropping here, David. Well done.

Hi David.

I cannot see nothing about a tripod, but with this exposure (1/25) at least is necessary fix the camara.
Also I like the composition and the vertical view.

Thanks for share.

This Holy Temple is more impressive on the inside in my opinion. Though I have not see much of the interior, the little section you show us here is enough to catch my attention. I like the centering of the image, the faint people in the background going about their religious duties and the colors of the architecture. Nice fine details captured in low light. Thanks David.
