| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This picture was taken just before the below-sea-level descent into the Jordan valley from the Alumot intersection- the view overlooks a slice of the sea of galilee and some of the kibbutzim (communal farming communities) in the area, as well as the golan heights in the background.
This peaceful place is definitely my favorite place to be in Israel. it is quiet and relaxed- you almost don't feel like you are in the noisy, stressed out little country of Israel. Even though the mountains in the background are already Jordanian territory, the area is very peaceful.
Obviously, this photo was edited on photoshop, it was my final project for a class- however, this editing was only to uncover the true beauty and colors of the area. |

Hi Liron,
Welcome to TrekEarth I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.A pleasant image of a place I know so well.I like the skyline you have caught though I do seem to see a bit of noise (probably due to the haze and dust so common in the summer).Lovely deep colour and wide angled view with a definate cut and composition.Good stuff....see you again.
Regards, David

wonderful view over the jordan valley, liron! :-)
good composition of kinneret with the golani in the back
and the green valley surrounding it.
this is from where the road descends in serpentines down the
hill, isnīt it? i looked through my photos and found one
from exactly the same place, taken in 2003 when i was there.
well seen & captured, thorsten.

Hi Liron, this is a great panoramic view of one of the most beautiful corners of Israel. (I cycled here once). I like the colour here - particularly the shades of blue in the sky and lake and the whole spectrum of yellows and browns. A very pleasing composition!
Regards,
Ryno

Hi Liron, I have heard about the Jordan Valley a lot, but have never seen such a good view like this. The colours and details are lovely, so green and alive! It is a good composition, thank you,
Janice
