Dry peppers in the market of Acco (Acre).
Acre, commonly referred to as Akko עַכּוֹ (Hebrew) or Akka عكّا (Arabic), is a city in the Western Galilee district of northern Israel. It is situated on a low promontory at the northern extremity of the Bay of Acre. From ancient times, Acre was regarded as the "key to Palestine" because of its strategic coastal location. |
