Thru the Gate, a photo from Akko, Northern

Photographer's Note

Akko (a.k.a. Acre) is a small town (pop. 45,000), of mixed Arab and Jewish population.

It has a rich history going back to Phoenician times, the Crusaders, Napoleon attack, etc. and it has been named as a World Heritage Site.

This was shot in the old city.

looks like the place is worth visiting...must consider this...

now i´ve been to israel 5 times and never made
it to Akko - looks like i should go there next time.
nice combination of the architecture and the
lady coming out - i wonder how long you waited
for this perfect moment.

Hi Daniel,
A perfect game of light and shades in the front of these old walls, and a good color in the door.
The composition is simple, dynamical and has a great graphism, I like it.
Good work with the management of the strong light, with a good result in the exposure.

Hello Daniel,
This picture reminds me that I should absolutely visit Acco next time I go to Israel. Impressive door, and well caught pedestrian at the best possible place. İıt's also nice that the shadow belongs to a palm tree, which gives an additional oriental atmosphere.

Well composed with the doorway made with different coloured stones. Good idea to have the lady coming out of the door. The shadows on the wall enlivens the textured wall. A little more contrast maybe in PP?
