This is an arch among the ancient Roman ruins at Caesarea. A few feet beyond is the large expanse of the Hippodrome where chariot races and other entertainment spectacles took place 2000 years ago.
From the perspective of this photo you see what might have been a similar view of the sky and clouds that the spectators walking to the Hippodrome saw many, many years ago. I left some of the ruins in view to make it more apparent as to what you are looking at in the photo.
I also thought that the sky illustrated the beauty of the day it was taken. Caesarea was quite interesting to walk through, especially when the weather is gorgeous. |
