This photo was taken in the beautiful beach of tantura, in israel.
The wall is of an old crumbling house right in front of the beach. It's the only one of its kind left, as the others were destroyed after one of the many arab-israeli wars. For some reason this one was left standing and is now used by Arab-Israeli fishermen to keep their fishing nets, and boats.
This house, the only one left standing of its kind, happens to have been my grandfather's house, the house were my father and his sisters grew up. My grandfather was a fisherman too. The house doesn't belong to us anymore but i like to see it every time i go there. My dad tells me amazing stories of how it was to grow up there...
Tantura has a beautiful peaceful beach and a lot of the land nearby has been allotted to caravans with a little bit of garden in front. My parents live there about 8 months a year (when its not winter), its peaceful and its beautiful, and my dad can look at the house he grew up in just nearby.
hope you like it

This photo is really unusual and evocative. I want to rest my chin on the stone and peer through the hole. I haven't heard of Tantura but your description makes me want to visit.
