Photographer's Note
Haifa, the third city in Israel by size, and a major port town.
Mixed population of Jews, Muslims and Christians and also a center and most sacred place to the Baha'i Faith.
Built on Mt. Carmel, the Baha'i gardens with the golden-dome Shrine dominating the town skyline from every point.
WS #1shows a wider view over town and port.
WS#2 shows an Eagle statue, one of many in the gardens, a returning mottif in there.
RAW converted into JPEG, exp. Bias -1/3.
*** Last Sunday was an extremely bright day, as you may see white houses reflected the abundence of sun light, strong effect on WB.

Hello Ike,
I like very much the elevated point of view from which you captured this fascinating view of the lovely gardens, the magnificent shrine and a quiet part of the city behind them (that reminds me of the southern suburbs of Athens). Clarity is superb and the sweet light makes the view even more attractive. Depth and perspective are excellent too. I liked your workshop pictures very much, Haifa looks beautiful. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely month,
Ourania

Hi, Ike,
I know this point of view, I was here in 2008. (Correct please Garden in the title). I'd like to add some saturation, I remember more bright colors. TFS!
Best wishes,

All the photograps are beautiful. But for some reason, I feel that both the WS#1 & WS#2 have greater depth and clarity. Ofcourse - the panorama here means that you had to deal with a wider variety of light and colours. Is my humble thought that this photograph has been heavily sharpened and a bit high on brightness.
here you have got yourself a fantastic position for this POV.
Thanks for sharing, Ike.

Shalom Ike
Nice dominant point of view, beautiful place
I have tested your picture with a cathodic screen and le lights are still strong.
I suggest you to equilibrate your screen with the gray scale of the ol TE version.
Another question do you see my pictures dark ?
When I take my photos, I use to under expose about -1/3 EV to give more saturation of colours and it's more simple to correct an underexposed picture than an overexposed one.
Best regards
Didi

Hi Ike,
The length of the garden is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the garden and of the architecture of the shrine. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Ike, marvelous view of the temple and specially the gardens. you found an excellent POV, looks like made from thr aiir. When I was in Haifa the gardens have not been ready yet. Marvelous shot. I once heard about Bahai faith from a believer and I liked the principles.

Dearest Ike
You did the right thing under-exposing the shot by 1/3 of a stop, as the light here is extremely strong. I think the top third is still a little light, so would suggest that it be darkened by a graduated filter in post processing. I have done a WS and emailed it to you. The image is beautifully sharp, wonderfully saturated and has an impressive perspective. COngratulations on the high POV too, I hope this did not involve a climb on foot in that heat!
Warm regards

Hi Ike
now were talking!! :)
You know i love these city views.
For some unknown reason we just don't get to see many city shots of Israel like this on TE. Not sure why???
and like you said, the lighting was incredibly strong, but still, i enjoy the view.
I think you're showing us a completely new POV, and i'm loving it.
I wonder how it looks in a different light?
and the trio of photo's from the WS are fine too :)
thanks for this one, and we hope to see more
cheers

Hello Ike,
I like your POV looking down on the gardens and shrine. It is also interesting to see the city streets in the background. There are many different types of trees, which add nice details to the scene, too.

what a fantastic vantage point for this Ike, such beautiful gardens surrounded by urban landscape makes for some good contrast. Very well composed to include what's necessary in such a large space. I don't know why, but I particularly like the big palm at the bottom right, feels like it helps give a sense of depth and distance. Nice work!
Hope you have a good week ahead!

Your ability for "levitation" shows an outstanding view on gardens "extravaganza" set higher than city below for a breath-taking view captured with studied symmetry.
A pleasure for the eyes!
