Haifa from Mt. Carmel.
As noted before Haifa is the most sacred to the Baha'i faith.
The building half round on right is the Baha'i centre for the Study of the Sacred Texts, and the rectangular building in the middle is the Universal House of Justice, centre of the Bahá'í covenant, with 60 arches façade (the arches are not visible on picture). The Golden dome Shrine on left. Also but not visible is the building of International Archives ( that looks similar to Athens Acropolis).
The area of the buildings and garden of the Baha'i complex stretch from tops of the Mt. Carmel down to lower town where the German-Colony district on Ben-Gurion blvd.
The big grey edifice near the port is the Dagon granary.

Enhanced saturation due to bright daylight.

The downward point of view is giving depth to the composition. Ity is also showing showing the details and colors of the buildings of this area of Haifa. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Ike,
we learn a lot about Haifa from this photo and point of view. It looks like a beautiful seaside city and it must be interesting and lovely to wander in its streets and along the seafront. (It's only the granary that doesn't look attractive.) The light is very strong because you probably opted for vivid colours and clarity all over the view. A beautiful bird's eye of this lovely city. Everything looks so well-planned out, so clean and immaculate. The Bahaía Temple is wonderful, we have one in Sydney too, which has a similar design. Lovely colours and great depth.

the sight from this high POV is fantastic, and offers us a beautiful panorama of the city, with a great chromatic contrast between its architecture, the green vegetation, and the intense blue of the sea.
The ensemble have a good graphical balance, has a nice light and a few managed-well colours.

This is lovely, a very beautiful view from your hometown. The perspective is exquisite with the slightly diagonal main road pointing towards the harbor, and the beautifully captured buildings among which the white one building stands out. Colors are great, too.

Mt. Carmel sounds familiar to me. It is interesting to see it in the photo.
I am glad that you came back to photos from your country. Vacations are fantastic but usually showing local areas we can share so many unknown treasures.

Hi Ike
Again, as i mentioned to you before, its great to see Isreal from this vantage point - we don't usually get alot of photo's from this country...imagine if you were not on TE! there would be even less!

I don't recognize any of the buildings, but there certainly seems to be a huge mix of styles.

And we can clearly see the Port city influence, with the large tankers sitting and waiting to load or unload their cargo.

It's very difficult to imagine the high temperatures (over 40 degrees in July and August) on Haifa; its located so close to the sea!
This view deprived of haze shows the best of it, beautifully set between blue and green.
