As usual Maxim you have a great eye for these kind of portraits. And not only are you the beholder of that eye but every time you seem to capture these moments that pass by so swiftly so well and accurate. My credits, also for this perfect shot. Framing, focus, DOF, all done very well.

You are a braver man than me Max. Beautifully framed with the focus on the eye. I would be interested to see a variant with a greater depth of field although I suspect it would reduce the impact of the shot.

This photo has real impact. You can imagine the arrow is about the pierce the camera lens. I too wonder about a greater depth of field so perhaps his rear hand is in focus but until I see it, this is good enough!

I like this, but it is scary. I Wonder how the photo would work if the tip of the arrow was in focus and the archer blurred - becasue if I was standing here I would be keeping a very careful eye on the arrow!!

Alternative title: William Tell's boy's portrait of his dad!
It's a winner Max.

ouch!! i can imagine the arrow in my forehead!
congratulations, very original point of view. It is not easy to find a photographer who has this idea + the courage and trust to do it...
btw: i like the suggestion of title by philip coggan! did you have an apple on your head when you took it?
