[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dragonflies are agile and have bulging eyes that often occupy most of the head and a wingspan of about 6 in. (16 cm). The dragonfly is one of the fastest-flying and most predaceous insects; in 30 minutes it can eat its own weight in food. Dragonflies differ from most other insects by having the male copulatory organs at the front part of the abdomen rather than at the back end. Male and female often fly in tandem during sperm transfer.

Tip for dragonfly photography: the dragonfly is very territorial insect, meaning he'll always returns to his favourite spot.. so all you got to do is to wait patiently, quietly, motionlessly, composed your frame, and he'll come soon enough.. Good luck

Nice shot Asival. Beautiful colours but, as you can see, focusing at extreme focal lengths is critical and it's not quite captured the detail that would make this an exceptional macro shot. Well done. Paul.

Hi Assi,
Good close up picture of a dragonfly. Nicely captured. [I have a picture of dragon fly that I recently posted -yesterday- at TL, you may visit it if you have time...]

Hi Assi! I dont know what I like more in this picture - the composition or the colors with red-green and blue-yellow complimenting each other. Perfect light and great choice of DOF. Well done! Anita
