[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Many aqueducts are raised above the landscape, resembling bridges. This one was built along a beach of the Mediterranean Sea.

The location is near Caesarea, a town built by Herod in 25 to 13 BC. The town was made capital of Judea and official residence of the Roman governors, like Pontius Pilatus.

The water to the population of 125,000 was brought by this aqueduct from springs at the foot of Mount Carmel.

For the shot I isolated a few arches and chose a place directly on the beach, to accentuate the tones. The shot was taken from the inland side of the aqueduct, the light is coming from the sea side (from the west).

Scanned and resized.

Well, amazing repetive motive. Really excellent composition and superb lights/shadows balance. Regards.

hi daniel,
this is very cool, i like the tight crop and the golden-tanal range, interesting archi image;
best wishes, jerzy

I like the POV to show the repeating arches without the distraction of what shows on the other side. The strong light/shade contrasts indicate this must have been difficult to expose. Good work.

Good perspective Daniel, compliments, the image is a little poor of quality but however likeable.

Hi Daniel ,

The scanning didn't do justice to the photo which is fantastic ! The scanning
or maybe over use of sharpness in PS made it quite grainy.
Otherwise I like it a lot !
Great composition, excellent warm afternoon sun .

Beautifull

Hi daniel,

Hi Daniel,
You could find a better way to present these aqueduct. The low sunshine gives a unusual view to the bows and the shadow gives a beautiful idea of the rough stones.
Excellent work.

daniel,
first thing attracts me in this shot is the color and contrast. good composition. you lost a bit of the quality due to scanning but not enough to ruin the impact .

Excellent shot Daniel. You have captured the play of light & shadows very well. Good tight crop to accentuate this effect on the repeating arches. Well done!

Hi Daniel,

I like very much the sense of perspective in the composition and the way in which light and shadows are distributed in the image.

Also, this like other of your scanned photos has very good detail.

Best regards,
Carlos

Hi Daniel,
Nice perspective. love the sun light on the stone wall.

Hi Daniel,
Interesting perspective of a place I know well.I like the contrast of light and the nice shadows.A touch too much noise but I suppose it adds a bit of character. The angle seems to have made it much larger than it really is.Have a good week.
Regards, David
