Photographer’s Note
In this photo that has been taken by "Reuters agency" a frightened palestinian child has been caught by Israeli soldiers, they are caughing him like a criminal. I just wonder what have he done for them!!! what underage child with no weapons can do for those heavy weapons soldiers?!
And I also wonder why they are so happy?? have they got treasure?!
This photo represent the suffer of the palestinian children under the Israli occupation.

Hello Rafef
Conflict has no merit on either side. Wether you agree with this photo or not......This is just a sample of the craziness that happens in our world.

Hi Rafef,
this is a website to discover the world and the world, unfortunately, is also made of this, not only landscapes and architecture.
Very good post.

I sure find this a very Trek-Earthy photo. Regardless how unfortunate, this is real life. I am surprised they let you go with your camera intact though.
As to the innocence of the child. I do not know about this child in particular, but in general, in the modern world in which killing can be achieved by a finger press on a trigger, children can and are deadly weapons for whoever happens to be their brain-washer.
For example, take Afghanistan in the 1980's: Kalashnikov armed children frequently were shooting Russian soldiers in their backs. Of course, one might argue Russians had no business being there in the first place, but that's a different issue. Here were are discussing what children CAN or cannot do...
Take Sierra Leone or any other African country with children armies. In the modern world (as opposed to spear and shield world, where one had to practice for years to be an efficient soldier), children can be very deadly if equipped properly and brainwashed by adults.
For an example of children cruelty and deadliness we even do not need a war zone. Years ago, back in my old country, a gang of 14-16 year olds killed (with crowbars) my 55 year old neighbor to steal 10 usd from him...
Bottom line: we do not see WHY the soldiers arrested the child in the first place. There could be a valid reason behind it; there could be none. We do not know.

Kristaps

Hello Rafer,
I'm sorry to tell you that it is a famous photo taken by a photographer of the Reuters agency in April 2001 in Jerusalem (El Qods). I'm really sorry because it is an impressive shot and I understand very well that you want to share it in order to witness the brutality of the Israeli occupation. On this site, you must be the owner of the photo. In place of taking photos on internet, you can post your own photos of some demonstrations to support Palestine in your country, for example. Or art creation in support of Palestinian children. Best regards,
Catherine
:) for the real photographer.

Rafef,
By pressing the shutter at just the right second you were able to capture emotion of the moment and beyond.
Cheers!

Hello Rafef,
Photo très émouvante... très réaliste. Un témoignage des attrocités qui se passent à Ramla.
La photo sert aussi à cela..
Thank you.
Phoolan
