A view of the central-Israel coastal-plains from a lookout point in Shoham.
Located some 20+km east of Tel-Aviv, which it's skyline can be seen clearly on the far horizon.
Shoham is a relatively new town suberb in Israel. 18,200 was the count of local population in 2009, as the town established less than 20 years ago.

Aspect ratio 16:9, with exp. bias -1/3 .

The canopy and its supports make a good frame for the town laid out below. A well presented image with good colours and sharpness.

The wideness of the plains is giving depth to the composition. The point of view isd showing the details and colors of the shelter and of the plains. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

This is for us unthinkable a new city to creation, but Israel is a country with future through the excellent enterprise of the policy makers

It's amazing to learn that a town in Israel is only 20 years old, I guess I'm somewhat naive because I thought most towns and cities should at least a couple of thousands years old. Nice panoramic view of this town with good lighting and dof with sharp details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

This is great view well framed by the pavilion.

Do you know when I visited this area? Exactly 40 yeras ago, travelling with backpack from Golan Hights up to Ras Mohahammed (Sharm-el-Sheikh) and back to Tel Aviv; dangerous trip that time.

You chose a VIP point of view for a much-descriptive haze-free overlook on plain and distant city, beautifully adorned of the gazebo monument.
Appears as a nice environment for motorized paragliding, camera handy!

A majestic POV, high up in the hills. It gives us a good idea of the lay-out of Shoaham and surrounding areas. Funny, I thought the area was very hilly, rather than flat. Beautiful colours and excellent depth.

I like the way you used the canopy to frame the content of your photo & I am surprised that this town is only 20 years old - I recognise the tall buildings on the skyline of Tel-Aviv.

Hello Ike,

It was very important to use the lookout point as the frame for your shot. It not only gives f/g interest but its shodows make that link from f/g to b/g.
The colours are natural and the dof is great for this shot.

Hello Ike,
the lookout point provides us with spectacular views.Even,like you write 20km from Tel-Aviv we can still see its skyline.Clarity was amazing on that that(something I´d like to have in Hong Kong:)
What I like more about your image is the way you composed it.The POV placed right behind this canopy create in my opinion really nice effect.Also colors,so vivid and nicely contrasting with each other help to animate this deviod of people scene.

Beautiful view from the hill, from sheds light on the plain. I see that Israel is a very urbanized. I think that apart from the Negev desert in you, there is no wilderness. Excellent color and image quality.

Good morning Ike,

There's just something about a terrace canopy such as this that slows everything down in life, a place to sit, relax and put the mind at ease...and it's even better when you have a nice view. I really like the geometric type patterns this one provides, even with its minimal style and size. I imagine many of the towns residents have spent some quality time just enjoying the scenic tranquility from this spot. Thanks for sharing this fun and relatively new corner of the country.

I like very much the interaction between foreground and background, how the vast distant view is framed by the structure in the foregrond that is also adjusted to the frame of the picture. Hello Ike,

You're capturing well this coastal plain by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see some colonies of the house and the surrounding greenery. The view from an observatory is very good and it turns out that this is a peaceful place. The whole is harmonized well by a good color combination, and the shadow draws out a good effect in this image.
