[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This specific image was shot today on my way back from work, where I saw this man standing in front of this beautiful woman in a poster in the front window of a caffe that is opening very soon in "Ramat Hashron", I thought that the contrast between her and him is a good way to start my work about "Foreign workers" in Israel.

The issue In short: The government allowed few years ago for some 60,000 people from around the globe (mainly from Africa, and Eastern Europe) to come and work in Israel, after that a lot of other so-called illegal workers came. At first they we exploited by their employers who hold their passport as an "assurance" they will not runaway (where to exactly??), paid them pennies and to make thing even "better" they where living in the worst conditions. And for a time it was good for the government, than came the unemployment problems in Israel so the solution was to get reed (I hate to use this word, but that’s the reality of things here) of them. So now they are hiding from immigration – the way they are treated when captured is a shame to us. I know we're used to "happy" themes on TE but I'm now working to document those people's lives and I feel I must raise the issue.
(I know it's a long note…)

Bravo! If it is fair, I have come to delight from this capture. Simply perfectly. It is pleasant to me where the person as sits, expression of his person sits) is wonderfully seized! Probably, slightly there is no acuteness details. But a shot good!

Lond note, but an excellent one, Omri, and a great photo. Raising this subject on TE is a good idea because this happens in many other countries, especially in Europe. These "foreign workers" are part of our life now, and they feel the same. TE moto is "Learning about the world through photography" and you did it in a perfect way - using a great shot and words. Unfurtunately the world is not just a collection of romantic sunsets and bees on flowers, and these kind of subjects have to be represnted here, too.
Very good job, Omri.

Hi Omri, Very good picture, together with the note, it's a documentary style. I like the way they both look in different directions, as if to underscribe your note: We don't want to know each other'.
Very good, and a very good note!

Very emotional picture Omri, what lens you used ?

hi Omri, it is a nice picture, the scene is very good and the background is just great. maybe if you stepped a step to the left the guy would be even better placed.
but, the picture needs post processing. it is too gray! see my workshop - that's how it should look like ;-)
anyway, i like it

You raise a very good point Omri... great timing on the shot, you were at the right time at the right place! There's a lot to be said about images that tell a story, and this one does a good job of it.

very nice shot indeed. your note adds to it positively IMO;-) nice catch

Quite outstanding pic Omri. This one really has it all. The graphic duo-chrone background and 'real life' in front. The fact that they are looking different ways gives a nice twist (well exploited in the title!). Altogether very cool. It one of those pics that has so many aspects that it ask to be played with. Tried a differnet crop for fun. I'll post it as a workshop.

Cheers,
Mikkel

Very good note and delicate subject that you expressed very well. Your POV and thoughts are very well spotted here, with opposite glances, opposite expression, opposite everything. Well seen and very well rendered.

At first I thought the guy would look better if he was further left in the shot, on the other side of the girl on the wall but the more I look at it, the more I like it this way. I like that the two sets of eyes are looking in pretty much exactly opposite directions. I think the only issue I have with this shot is that it appears a little washed out to me. I am guessing you brought up the brightness or adjusted levels here in order to bring out details in his dark face. Unfortunately, that has left the rest of the shot overly light for my tastes. Anyways Omri, this is a good shot.
