oh man, what beautiful weather!
i´d like to be there, too!
excellent shot, david,
the roof is actually mirrored on the ground.
...and such a wonderful blue sky.
well done & take care, thor.

Wonderful light and color on your well-framed compo, I especially like the the shadow of the roof and the edge dropping off to the sea. I might have cropped the headless palm; you probably tried and found it was too close to the roof.

Hi David - a pleasant shot, you are right: the pergola and its shadow look really great, well seen as subject for a shot. Following Pat's idea I did a WS, cropping out the tree, I post it just for the comparison, as I believe the tree has value in the composition. Regards, Daniel

I like these lines made by sun and shadows play. Amazing composition of geometry.
My best regards,

The shadow effects from the pergola are indeed alluring. I like the overall clarity of the shot, your well chosen POV, and the fine lighting. The photo has a dreamy quality, heightened by the inspiring blue ocean in the background. Very fine work. I like this one.

Superb color, sharpness, lighting, & contrast. I like the geometric patterns & shapes formed by the shadows. The yellow path adds linear perspective.

Another good use of the wide angle. I like the clarity and colours of the shot - it's really beautiful.
The place looks inviting and the sea in the background even more so.
Seems you have something going with such roofs - the hotel in Finland looks almost the same !

It's funny how the pergola looks like the snowy house from Finland, just under in your gallery. I first thought it was the same place !!!
Your are perfectly right concerning the shadow on the ground. It's beautiful and you succeeded in capturing it well. Good job.

The shadow is really eyecatching! A pitty the palmtree and the small pillar are in the way a little.
