Photographer’s Note

A field of dry whaet, ready for harvest,
taken in the same place with other photos of the spring fields serie. It was green a few wekks ago, but now it's a sea of gold.

The AutoFocus system could not focus on the wheat because of the wind that moved the plants from side to side, so I switched to manual focus, and this is what I got (still not a perfect focus, but I like it).

Not one that we are use to see of you, discovering new borders with a fine play of light in this detail of wheat, a still of nature.

Hi Yitzhak, I can see why you like this. The backlighting is very appealing. I think I'd be inclined to give it a vertical format removing the left side, which would emphasize the grains on the left on which you got your best focus. It's a lovely colour palatte you have attained.

The side-/backlighting gives this one an appealing quality, Itzik. And of course the shallow DOF works nicely to render the foreground details well and to set them off against the seemingly endless stretch of the field behind. Nice one.

Superb dof / sharpness, & a soft warm light. I like the repetition, & the overhanging ears of grain on the right, contrasting with the rigid ears in the center. Good work!

J'ai raté des photos pendant mon absence, je me rattrape en admirant ce très joli gros plan. Les blés encore verts secoués par le vent sont du plus bel effet.
J'aime beaucoup la lumière dispensée lors de la prise de vue.

how differerent climate you have, wheat ready for harvest on 16 april! Here by me is absolutely green for now.
Nice image, i like the narrow dof of telephoto and light to the right side.
Simply, delicate and effective!

Here in Flanders everything have been now just sown, and in Israel are the wheat almost ripe, I like the lovely different colour tints middle of the wheat.

Hey no fair! YOU'RE supposed to do the industrial shots and I'M supposed to do the perfect nature/landscape photos! Oh well. This is brilliant. Another real winner for sure! There is enough her in focus to provide a stopping point for the eyes, but the blur is so nicely used, it casts a wonderful mood. I just love looking at this for a long time...

J'aime beaucoup cette composition, très originale et qui, sur le plan pictural, fait penser à une peinture abstraite.
L'idée de cette prise de vue est très bonne et nous donne une photo réussie.
