Photographer’s Note
The guard towers seen in both foreground and background (left)were once manned by Saddam's soldiers. This is part of the compound surrounding Saddam's former Pleasure Palace in Baghdad. The wall is 18 feet (approx 8 meters) tall.

Phil,
Are you ever in the guard tower closest to Saddam's Tower at Mamoun? By the traffic circle?
Nice shot of Harthia in the background, I believe. This is where my new office is located
Look for me, I'm in a dark blue/green Chevy Custom hi-top passenger van carrying a Beretta in my lap...
Keep your eyes open and stay sharp man - it's a whole new ball game out here now. And remember, there's some of us here at TE that care about you. Let me buy you a pizza sometime...

Phil, glad to see you post again... got me worried for a couple of days. These towers look enormous... from a picture perspective (maybe the last thing on your mind these days), I would have cropped tighter around the main tower (cutting the other one out), leaving the tower in the lower right, wall and palm trees as the main subjects and letting the wall give some perspective.

Interesting perspective, however this wall is nicer than the former one in Berlin.
Interesting note. Keep it posting Phil.
