Dear Robert,
thanks for sending photographic messages out of the Near East. I am sure there are many other things to see and experience than those that CNN and Al Arabija are talking about. Your girl pic is a good example. Keep up the good work!
With my best wishes to you for peaceful holidays, Dietrich
The image is full of life and verve and the urge to live life on one's own terms. The smile of course is infectious and the action unmistakable. You've done very well to catch the moment at the right time Robert. The colours and lights...everything is superbly controlled.

Hi Robert,
Nice work, interesting POV. Can see the fun and the DOF is also nice, the trees in the back a touch unsharp, which is fine imo. The lady is fine, good details, nice light too.
Maybe a bit too much sharpening along the steel frame of this playground.. I see large halo's..light area's around the steel, especially on the right side.
The message behind the shot is strong..This scene is indeed probably rare..I hope for the children and all other innocent civilians they'll regain freedom soon.
But I think the Middle East will remain a time bomb for some..maybe a long..time. Sadly.

shiny happy girl, thank you for this wonderful shot )))
Hello Robert
You do have stunning shots in your gallery! Not a good portrait photographer myself, I can only appreciate shots like these which capture human emotions in all it's glory. Very original, I like the radiance coming out of her face & indeed the photograph. Excellent. I'll put this as my favourite

Excellent compo and POV, beautiful light. Nice and original. I like that net, the trees behind it, the smiling, sun-lighted girl with her long hair. Very good.

What a great, happy, life affirming shot - so much like the joy and energies of my young Palestinian friends last summer - what a sad testament your words pay to the realities of today....this shot also reminds me of a wonderful summer spent working with a group of kids in the UK - I took some images on a frame just like this one!!
best wishes Kev
Hi Robert.
As it has already been mentionned in previous comments this is a great shot, and the sharpness of the result is really impressive given the method you used to digitize it.
I was in Kuwait two weeks ago, where I have seen more or less similar scenes of children enjoying life. At the same time, I thought about Irak, which was so close, and and about the situation children have to face there. Strange feeling ! What more to do than hoping for peace assoon as possible?

Hi Robert,
This stunning portrait makes grieve all of the lost futures. It is my favorite of all of your favorites. I protested the senseless attack before it occurred believing it would be like ripping the scab off a wound; but the results have been far worse than I anticipated.

Hi Rafid,
This is the perfect expression of freedom, of joy... Beautifully captured, with her hair floating and her face shinning... And you bring us from the earth to the sky... where the dreams come through...
Superb!
