Freedom (Astī in Kurdish).

Freedom was what this person told about with her dance performance. She is artist of theatre and composed a play about freedom. The most spectacular part of her performance was the end: she got a pigeon into her hands, kissed it and then she threw the pigeon out to the sky. This is the moment you see on that photo.
At the end of her performance everyone applauded because freedom is one of the most important word of human kind.

This is a scene from Festīvala Mexmūr
Mexmūr is a refugee camp for Kurds who had to escape because of the military operations Turkish military made against the PKK in the 1980/90ies: 4000 Kurdish villages got depleted and destroyed. Most of their inhabitants escaped into Iraq where the Camp of Mexmur was founded. The Festīvala Mexmūr reminds the refugees on their sad destination).

I love this picture Ferhat. The artist seems to be floating in the air. Her arms and the "pigeon" ( colombe?) would make for a photo on their own. There is a feeling of intensity and
hope emanating from the entire scene. You clickes at the right moment - well done

Very nice, symbolic shot. The light on the bird is great and the B&W fits very nice to the photo. Great job.

Ferhat I really love this picture! I think it is timeless and clearly embodies the notion of freedom. And what a beautiful notion that is! Well done!
