This is Maranjab Deserd Dunes in the State of Kashan. Approx., 350km., South East of Tehran. This area is next to the largest dryed salten sea in Iran, and its particularly distinguesh since on one side you have the Salten Sea (white) and the Other side is the sand dunes...

An interesting entry, this composition is well thought out and the note attached is good.
Regarding the image itself, I find it lacks contrast, but at the beginning, there is all this kind of mistake.
