One of my old shots from my trip to very religous and holly city of Qom for Shitte muslims ... a part of a very beautiful mosque tower, where they sing Adhan to call people for praying ... After Islamization of Iran and down of great Persian empire, their heritage(Iranian art which was one of the world's leading art beside Roman art ) was used to make artifacts in the new ways for the new purposes ...
Something Personal :
It's so intresting for me that after 2 years of living ( studying ) in Norway, I simply realized that now I don't look at these shots, the same as I used to look 2 years ago when I took them ( before leaving home to come here for studying ) ... I simply respect these more and accept the reality around them easier ... Not that I became religous (which I've never been and am not now), Nope, I just learnt how to accept the reality and differences and cooperate with it instance of denying or hiding it ... How to not to be self centered ...
This, I learnt thanks to the very special Norwegian culture & just simply living in a multi cultural society :-) Anyway, I like what I've became now ... |
