Length: up to 20 cm, but smaller in the aquarium.
charactrestics: head and body protected by bony plates that overlap like roof tiles.
Aquarium conditions: community tank from 60 cm in length, with rocks and roots on which algae will grow.
Temperature: 22-26 C
Diet: Tubifex, Mosquito Larvae ( and sometime we drop dead mosquitos insted :D ) ,Lettuce , some dried food. these fish are excellent consumers of algae, but they do not attack the aquarium's decorative plants ( Goldfish is terminator in this case
