Green Toga ! Photo

Photographer’s Note

The shot is cropped almost %50 of the original.
Unfortunately I don't know the name of the bird here in english,but she has a poetic name in Persian language : " Sabz Ghabaa" that has a mean like " Green Cassock " or " Green Mantelet " or " Green Toga" ! a bit difficult for me to find and say its poetic sound with its mean !
but,anyway ,I captured her in south of Iran,in Kish Island,where is located 18 kilometres off the southern Iranian coasts in Persian Gulf.
According to the national geographical divisions,Kish is in the domain of the Lengeh District,Hormuzgan Province,but is run independently by the Kish Free Zone Organization (KFZO).

Interesting departure for you here Mohammed (o maybe I've been missing things, I'm a rare visitor these days). Nicely framed with the crop. Maybe the focus is slightly off the bird, catching the leaves just in front of it, but a minor quibble.

Wonderful capture of Green Toga while her colors making your frame more richest. Colorful tree branches and leafs are different. Your DOF is adding great effect, beatiful.

Beautiful bird and I love ow her palette of tone relates the environment around her .. the wash of a backdrop works well and amplifies the palette of the bird .. beautiful little one.

beaucoup de diversité dans les sujets de tes photos. Ici, petit clin d'oeil à la nature avec ces oiseaux qui gâtent aussi bien nos yeux que nos oreilles.
Le sujet ressort bien sur fond blanc.

Salam Mohammad,

I have browsed through your wonderful pictures in your gallery and you are excellent landscape photographer.

This is a Blue-tailed Bee Eater (I have one posted on TN), a well sought after bird even in TN. You have captured this in a very good perch against the clear sky. Unfortunately the bird lacks sharpness and clarity. The dark area around the eyes is a signature view of this bird. The sharpness of the eye is critical in capturing bird as well well as the plumage. I am sorry that you have included this rather inferior image among your superb collection.
