The Snowy Days Photo

Photographer’s Note

Tehran(the capital of Iran) and almost half of Iran started the 2008 with snow,but after 3 days it stoped,again the snow is downfall January 5th and 6th but this time was heavy and hard and 2/3 Iran undersnowed.
Unfortunately,last day,22 persons died in some roads.
but this is life !...Though,the winter,the snow,...like the other seasons is beautiful.we must going on..........but hopefully.

Dear Mohammad,
this one is perfect for this season. I just came to know from a friend that it is snowing heavily in most of Iran, and many are suffering.

Very nice selective setting on the bird who seams not disturbed by the cold.
We have many accidents in France even without snow.

Hello Mohammad,

In Belgium we have a very soft winter no snow and very high temperatures to the winter period.
A pity for the victims in your country bur this is indeed the hard reality of the life.
Splendid picture with these turtledove as subject, very well composition and very well position of the dove.

Mohammad I recall someone saying that the f/2.8 70-200 is sharper than the f/4 70-200! Very hard to tell but I think I see proof here in the wonderful details shown. Excellent work with stunning clarity and sharpness of this bird. Keep up the good work!

Yes the cold can be felt here... Very good framing here with the branch going diagonally through the frame, and of course the optical quality is excellent with this lens, the bird is so sharp...

A nice winter scene with the good capture of the bird on the well textured frozen branch, in which the narrow DOF isolates the main subject from the BG bokeh.

Today it was national bird-counting day in our gardens in Holland. The bird of your previous picture can often been count in our garden, but this lovely bird is unknown in our garden. But the robins where the winner today.
