The Sun,Tower & Me!, a photo from Tehran, East

Photographer's Note

It's a big tower(minaret)of a beautiful mosque in "Tehran" permanent international trade fair ground.

Again, it was a simple play with the sun (!) and only a piece of cloud in the sky and tower's shadow.

After scanning, I used NI & a bit cropped.

Nice lighting affect you caught here, Mohammad. But it is not just you and them in the picture, what about those CCTV cameras on the minaret?

A nice continuation to your previous photo, Mohammad. Fine effect from the sun that is masked out by the minaret, and creates an amazing luminosity around the tower's silhouette and on the cloud. Again the limited but quite effective color setting. Very good.

Great & cleaver way to use backlit effect. Nice composition also. The blueish tone add more dramatic value to this photo.

Another beautiful shot with a cloud. And the tower really adds a great touch to this. BUt the great color, the lighting and the lightness of the cloud makes everything float here, including the tower. Another interesting and very well executed idea. Very well spotted.

Hi Mohammad - I like the way you make the sun disappear behind that minaret. it creates a very special light and gives the cloud a fine touch.

This one is fantastic, Mohammad. I love the light reflected on the cloud and the play hide-and-seek between the Sun and the Minaret. Very fine details of the fences on top of the Minaret. Great composition!

I like the backlight effect you created in this pic. Looks like a light shining out of the tower...

Another thing that caught my eye is the shape of the cloud - funny ChrisJ mentioned it looks like a map of Iceland. I think it looks like a map of China! :-)
