West facade of Darb-e-Emam Shrine, Esfahan, Dardsasht sector (mahalle) in the west of Friday mosque.
Recent "Peter J. Lu" article in "Science 315, 1106 (2007)",as "Decagonal and Quasi-Crystalline Tilings in Medieval Islamic Architecture", has an special part about Darb-e-Emam Shrine.
This type of decoration is called "yazdi-bandi" and this is a particular one.
Excuse me! The "cooler" is a reality, I cant ignore it! |
