•-About The Location:
Bandar-e Anzali (in Persian: بندر انزلی), known as Bandar-e Pahlavi (بندر پهلوی) before the Iranian Revolution, is a harbour town on the Caspian Sea, in the Iranian province of Gilan, close to Rasht.
Tourist attractions are the long harbour promenade and the water-logged delta of the Sefid Rud. Bandar Anzali is the most important seaport in the north of Iran.
It consists of a main island "Mianposhteh" and the lands around it.
Anzali Lagoon (Mordab-e-Anzali) is a coastal waterbody in the Caspian Sea near the city of Anzali. This lagoon that is very rich in fish. It is being contaminated by industrial wastes. (Courtesy of Wikipedia).
Anzali is an important port in the north of Iran. This port is divided to two sections by a channel.
In the past, the port was the most important path for trading between Asia and Europe and its name was Europe Gate. At the present, Anzali is Free Trading Area.
Anzali Lagoon with an 180,000-sqm area is one of the great and beautiful lagoons in the world. It has many small islands that Mian Poshte is the most important between them. This lagoon is important for political, tourism and environmental aspects.
Reeds, water lily, immigration waterfowls and sawn has created a beautiful scenery in lagoon. (from: www.gstp.ir).

•-Motivation:
I had a short ride on a boat at Anzali Lagoon and I took some photos from different sites and views of this beautiful pond. Among the pictures I chose this one because of colorful cloths hanged to dry and the very old and beautiful village house by the Anzali waters. I took this picture on 2003 and with my first digital camera "Canon Powershot S330".
