Out of place Photo

Photographer’s Note

As ancient as Yazd feels, you can't prevent the modern world from entering its premises. The walls, that are hundreds of years old, have seen various means of transportation, from donkeys to bikes, to engine vehicles whose sound startles you when yuo walk along, imagining you've just travelled back in time. Though you pass cars every day not even giving a single thought to them, here they catch you as somewhat out of place.

Love the blue to brown to blue composition and the way the intensity of the colours matches. Is that post production or as it was?

I always notice the amount of wire, telephone lines, and power lines that often drape the walls of these ancient buildings. An interesting social comment within your photo.

Okrutnie fotograficzne foto, Olu.
Arcyciekawe poprzez to straszliwe zderzenie kolorow.
jakos mniej geograficzne sie stalo, ale za to...Ta dynamika kolorow... Odrealniona scena... Celowe to to czy przez przypadek? Te samochody to nawet nie samochody, ale rekwizyty teatralne.
Raduje dusze moja, znekana tym potwornym powielactwem na TE.
A tu - inaczel. Ostro. po oczach. I ja to kupuje. I ja lubie.

Hi Alexandra,

for the sake of contrast i wished one of this cars could have been bright red;-)...although on the other side i never get tired of looking at blue cars anyway simply 'cause my own car is perfectly blue...the walls look clean and well looked after...your photo has this little off the main street flavour which i quite like...cheers, arturo
