Photographer’s Note
Ancient "Sabaean Mandean" religious sect preforming the ritual of cleansing during an annual baptism on the shores of the Karoun River, Khuzestan province, southeast Iran. Water is everything to the Sabaean Mandeans who are baptized in it, get married in it, and receive their last rites by the river's edge. Adam is Mandeans' fist prophet. Followers of the ancient religious minority believe there are between 80,000 to 200,000 Sabaean Mandeans in the world, with the vast majority of them in Iraq, They generally do not accept converts. Iranian Mandeans are around 15,000 in population.

A brilliant note, never heard of this religion before. Another day and I have once again learnt something new.
The shot is excellant, although it could have done with being horizontal as it looks a bit odd.

Grat shot Javid
I like the water droplets from the cleansing, and the dof is perfect to keep focus on the subjects only.
Good note as well.

Very nice and interesting daily life of these prople Dear Javid. A great composition showing the sacred relationship between men and water. Water is life itself and their respectful approach conveys this feeling very well. I wait for more info on these people in the coming shots.
Regards,
Sayat
