Photographer's Note
Arasbaran forests are located in the northwest of Iran, Kaleibar town in East Azarbaijan. . With an area covering about 140000 hectares of land, Arasbaran forest is one of the global genetic resources. Within the thick texture of these forests, 785 herbaceous and 100 wooden species have identified. Arasbaran is between 300 and 3500 meters elevated and its average annual rainfall is 373 mm. Because of its thick fog this area holds moisture within its green. In addition to rainfall there is some sort of invisible rain. Oak and horn beam trees are dominant species with 36.65 and 51.13% abundance respectively but oak trees for the reason that vast dispersion are taken into special consideration.
I didn't take the photo myself. The credit goes to my husband which took the photo on a trip there.
