Photographer's Note

One of the loveliest aspects of Tehran is the cool, shady streets. Along many steets, a wall of trees have been planted in gutters that resemble little streams in the spring time. These gutters run from the north (mountain) towards the south of the city. Because Tehran has dry heat, the shade that the trees provide is extremely pleasant.
