Photographer’s Note
Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna )
Abu Ali al-Hussain Ibn Abdallah Ibn Sina was a Persian physician and
philosopher. He was born in 980 A.D. at Afshana near Bukhara then capital of the
Samanid Dynasty.. The young Abu Ali received his early education in Bokhara, and
by the age of ten had become well versed in the study of the Qoran and various
sciences. He started studying philosophy by reading various Greek, Muslim and
other books on this subject and learnt logic and some other subjects from Abu
Abdallah Natili, a famous philosopher of the time. While still young, he
attained such a degree of expertise in medicine that his renown spread far and
wide. At the age of 17, he was fortunate in curing Nooh Ibn Mansour, the Samanid
King, of an illness in which all the well-known physicians had given up hope. On
his recovery, the King wished to reward him, but the young physician only
desired permission to use his uniquely stocked library.

A dramatic Avecenna "portrait" : sculpture is photographed as if it was a person alive, and I like this. I like obvoiusly also the clouds, the enviroment, good light and not defined place. Useful note: what can I wish more than this? :-))

Avecenna well deserve such a beautiful tribute. Great compo and great colors. Maybe a fill flash, if you didn't use the tele, would have given a little more visibility to this great
between the greatest.

Suitable background for a good physician
A sky on fire well composed, Amir
And a good note too
If you did use a flash it was not strong enough and if you did not try it next time I think the statue will look better and brighter.
Or maybe its my screen and then you should neglect my last sentence.

A very beautiful inormative shot,Amir!
Well worked in a poetic time and what a nice sky you had in the moment, nicely captured and silhouette of the trees made a nice layer in bottom for the golden orange sky,and the statue is great in the atmosphere,I like it very much,Thanks for posting and nicely done!

Hola Amir. Gran trabajo, felicidades.

hi amir,
a very beautiful silhouette and wonderful colors;but I have read in many books that he was a turkish but known as persian for some years for he has written in arabic for arabic was the common language in science then.and I know he has written some poems in turkish, out of science of course.I am sorry I don't want to start a discussion but I wanted the people to know there is also such an argument.not me or you but the scientists would answer that question, and it does not change anything;he was really a genius and done so many useful things for the world and human science, the founder of the modern medicine science.
regards
