This historical monument, dating back to Sassanid era, stands atop a rocky hill in the city of Khorram Abad.
Already in 1977, it was used as a museum, exhibiting both archeological and ethnological items; but due to Iran and Iraq war, it has been closed since 1987.
Following repairs and renovations, a permanent exhibition of stone inscriptions and pottery items was organized here since 1991. |
