Photographer’s Note
The inner yard of Falak-ol-aflak castle (Shapourkhast), Khoram Abad, Lorestan.
This castle was used as a prison until around 50 years ago and then registered as a national heritage and changed into a museum. This is the inner yard of the two large yards in the castle. Beyond the windows is the museum of ancient relices of Lorestan but unfortunately it was closed when I was visiting the castle. So many invaluable items are kept in this museum like ancient idols and statutes. The most significant items are ancient gold masks that were worn in religious ceremonies thousands of years ago.
Remind you that this yard is 40 meters above the street.
