In the Realm of Swallows Photo

Photographer’s Note

Many swallows were flying near the Karafto cave and its surroundings. They say these birds were also seen in the sky of Tehran years ago and when the air was clean; but due to the air pollution in Tehran and the other big cities , we miss these beautiful birds and thats why I considered a realm for them in my shot.

this is a very good photo!I have done something last summer,and it was not so easy to find the right adjustment to avoid the overexposition of the landscape!Here,you succeded very well,with a superb blue sky and an excellent sharpness on the swallows!Your WS is very nice too and complete very well this post!

Hi Atousa,

fantastic composition. From darkness to the light. I really like to see the shape in silhouettes as the natural framing and the inclusion of mountain and the blue sky. Very attractive one!

I may have tightenedthe crop to have a little less dark area, but no problem there!

Creative and inspired! The entrance of the cave is very picturesque and you used cleverly to frame the landscape and the flying birds against the blue sky. It is remarkably well exposed, with the FG dark as it should be and the BG well lit.

The large area of black makes a creative frame for the view outside the cave and in particular the swallows. The addition of the silhouetted person is also a good feature of the image.

What you've done with the exposure control is excellent! Not easy at all. Like the pit of the cave entrance which is partially hit by the light...very delicate. Of course the swarm of swallows are very interesting in silhouette. Good work here Atousa!

This is a very good POV allowing great perspectiv from inside this huge cave. A beautiful capture of the swallows and view of the mountains in the background. I like the silhouettes at the mouth of the cave. Your workshop pictures are also excellent!
