Photographer’s Note

•-o Fishing Boat o-•

Recently I had a short travel to Khuzestan Province, in South West of Iran where we had boarder with Iraq and Persian Gulf waters.
In this region people's job is farming, fishing or working for Petrochemical Companies.

Someday when I went for looking around at Mah shahr [or Maa Shour that means Salty Water] a very small city at Khuzestan, found a small and old port which is now used for some of small fishing boats. The sea was foggy and it was coming toward the land gradually.

I took some pictures which this is one of them.
For taking this picture I used a Kenko ND4 filter to reduce the harsh light and enhance the foggy mood at BG.

I also made some pp jobs at Photoshop CS2 such as auto adjustments and also framing and resizing.

I sincerely present this picture to my friend Donna Rasmussen as she loves Sea and Boats so much.

Hi Javad,

a pity that you missed the reflection in the composition,I don't sure if you was careful about it or maybe there was a limit for the reflection,anyway but I totally enjoy this simple view that has a special atmosphere and I know perfectlly this atmosphere in MahShahr city.

Very moody and artistic, even a bit poetic. Truly very beautiful.

I think it's great just like it is, perhaps onlyu a bit too dark, but I didn't resist making a B&W WS, something that is very rare with me, as I allways liked B&W (in fact I spoent years photographying only in B&W) but somehow in most cases I prefer keeping color after I have seen the color version. However, I feel that this one is crying for B&W.

First I thought (seeing the thumbnail) - too dull colours. But, when I saw the details of the boat, I am for it. This is an abandoned (or very damaged one). Well executed!
