A tech question:

Why the trace of the sun have appeared in the shot?!(below of the sun)
Is it because of using the UV filter?!in digital?!
Thanks for reply.
Welcome.

Hi Mohammad, that is a nice sunset photo.

The sky is in silence like now, and sometimes not.

Regards, Hakan

PS: I don't know the answer, sorry.

Thanks for your fine comments and GLAD to see you! I caught you now, after some days of holidays for some and work for others! I already know that you are trying a new camera. It's your problem for a happy new year that you must live and enjoy. I'll comment your previous and first 2005 shot after this one. So, here it's a beautiful enquadrement like I "like it". The sky is always good, because is above nature, and you know how transmit this sensibility. The composition is interesting and well worked. Sincerely to you, have a great next year!

A peaceful image of the sea and the sun.

I would guess that the second sun is because of the UV filter. The light reflects off the lens and then off the back side of the filter into the camera again. Something to watch for when using a filter when there is direct light on the lens.

very nice and serene sunset! Well done!

You camera is very good, and with this UV filter this is splendid, Mohammad, but maybe here the picture landscape make, the port with the excellent broad view, but I like this image wonderful sharp and clear Mohammad.
Greetings John.

Great sky and very successful landscape.
Sharp, coloured.
Good peacefull athmosphere.
I have no idea for the technical question but would give an information, using my bridge at nearly 200 mm (eq 24/36) at f11 wich is a maxi on this one it happens to me if I let the automatic speed go (I mean a bit low for my conditions, nearly facing the sun), I have the information looking to my screen of a possibility it occurs ( hardly read the screen, other condition are a "stabiliser" working.
Take care of your "capteur"

Well done on this shot Mohammad. Beautiful colors and composition.
IMO, watch out for the lens glare. Filters can reduce these. A tobacco filter or polarizer may help. Also a lens hood. however, you are pointing directly into the sun.

Mike

Hi Mohammad, that is a beautiful scene with colours saturated below the yellow big cloud but the sky above IMHO needs more saturation and colour adjustment. I believe you did not change because you aimed to get an answer to your question.

The reflection of the light from the UV filter back to the lens inside for the second time might have created the effect.

Regards and a happy new year.

Beautiful sunset again Mohammad, I like this vertical framed composition
Regards, piotr

Very nice and well captured sunset Mohammad !
I like your vertical composition but it's too high for my 17" screen :(
For your technical problem: it seems to be reflected on your lens but....

Hi Mohammad, thanks for the tribute to the victims.
Happy New Year, let's hope for a better year than 2004 ended.
This is a very beautiful capture, with a very nice lit cloud. Beautiful colours in the sky.
I wouldn't know about the glare, but it's something thatcan happen when you have the light directly in the lens.

Different presentation, well done again, I like this marvelous sky, excellent colors and framing, well done.

great work here, I like the colours here, very vivid shot, yes the orange glare, I am still having a little bit of problems with that too,

good shot

a very beautiful sunset from you, Mohammad.
like the compo and the proportions. the cloud makes it even more beautiful.
wishing a happy new year.
Arnab

Nice colours, sharpness and the capture of light on this sunset. Glare of the lens? I haven't any answer but stimulate my curiosity. The composition in vertical,IMHO it is not necessarily the better for your title, there are a 'surplus' of sky, maybe on print will be better than for the screen. The third rules doesn't fonction in the vertical framing?
Cheers! José A.

Hello Mohammad,
Very good new year to you my friend,
You have send a very nice photo, I think it i the UV filter, but without the filter you have had a different photo,Okee we see 2 suns now but still it is nice. good job

I peaceful sunset. You make me remember my friend, Jundat. He like taking sunset and sunrise picture. Some of them like your.
I like the way you "stand" your picture with high sky. The large sky make the sun more attractive,

Superb sky and ambiance given in your picture.

Beautifull Mohammad
just enjoying
calm and serenity
verry nice Mohammad
regards

Another fine sunset/seascape with your new camera. Not sure about your question. The standard seems a pretty good lens, but not really any idea how it compares with this long one in extreme circumstances. The only time I've had this kind problem is with direct mid afternnon sunlight falling directly on the lens, though I've not taken any shots with the sun actually in the frame. I'd guess this is more to do with the filter though.

Great peaceful picture.

The shot is perfect.
I found the tip about the UV very useful.
Do you think that is not good to use it in any case or there is cases that is recommened to use it?

Regards
Pedro
