There is a perspective between the columns and the plain in the background...
So I think that, in order to emphasize this, you should have framed in the plain, and cropped out the dark shadows on the right, placing the highest column on the right?
The empty plain would then show all their loneliness...
Three columns like three Gorgons alike to each other and alone within the world. An interesting shot. The image could be sharper. Perhaps you could scan it with a higher resolution and then, as someone suggested to me in a prior comment, save it as jpeg with bicubic setting in photoshop. Anther way is to use the sharpen tool in photoshop or microsoft photo editor. Yes, perhaps taking in more of the surrounding countryside may provide a better view of the way that these columns are in the world.
old and massive, hre is two american cliches that apply......only the strong survive, it is lonely at the top.....lol
