Calligraphic lion

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Another Shir-o Korshid from the Takieh of Mo'aven ol-Molk. In this one, the lion (or lionness? he hasn't got a beard) doesn't hold the sword, but doesn't he look great in calligraphy?
By the way, if anyone can tell me what is written over his body... |

Very beautifull, as a picture, as a caligraphy and as a piece of art. Thank you for sharing.
another good capture of a symbol :) well the lion has been symbol of Iran since the Achamanesian age 500 B.C. ( You can see them in Perspolis ) , well as i am iranian but I cant read the writing on the lion body !!! really complex !
I can read Ali which might mean Ali ben Abi Tableb ( first Imam of shitte muslims ), You can see lots of these in the mosque patterns on the walls ... or it can refer to a king that has built the place ... Not sure ...
Good luck,
keep posting,
Shahab.

Although I do not speak Persian, but due to the similarities between Arabic-Persian especially the religious words and alphabets I can read:
Allahu Akbar = God is great
Al el beit el Mutah-har =blessed People of the prophet family
Ali = Imam Ali , first Shia Imam
Besmilalh = In the name of god
In fact, the person who made this art is very professional , because he made wonderful interference between the words, also he used combined alphabet style to get this picture.
Still many sentences and words need to be investigated …
