this church is near aras river.and oldest church in iran.church is located at 15 kilometrs west of JOLFA whit the distance of 30 meters by the ARAX river near DARRE SHAM regon. in which the deseted DARRE SHAM village has been sityated on it. the church situated in a tortifiud region,too.opinions about the date of construction some believe that the building constructed in the begining of the christionity.
