Beauty of underground, a photo from Azarbayjan-e Gharbi, West

Photographer's Note

I captured this image on my last visit to Ghapologh Salt Mine. This mine located about 180 Km. north-west of Oromiyeh city and 45 Km north of Khoy city.

Here is the entrance of underground mine tunnel. This tunnel diged through the salt. The colors in left are Iron Oxides impurities.

I sharpened and saturated this image by software.

Ilike ths shot. youhave controlled the exposure well here and make good use of the orange colour as a contrast to the rest of the rocks. Very well done.

this is a very eye catching and intriguing picture and I think it would have been even more effective if you had given more space to the foreground and its mysterious shadow and textures that you have already captured in such a superb way. I love how you have composed this image with shadows, light and a few suggestive colours. The homogeneity of the textures and the sense of perspective have been rendered excellently.
