[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The pomegranate is a native sour and sweet fruit originally from Iran. It could also be found in the Himalayas in northern India and was cultivated and naturalized over the whole Mediterranean region since ancient times. The pomegranate tree was introduced into California by Spanish settlers in 1769. The pomegranate is a neat, rounded shrub or small tree that can grow to 20 or 30 ft., but more typically to 12 to 16 ft. in height. Pomegranates are also long-lived. There are specimens in Europe that are known to be over 200 years of age. The vigor of a pomegranate declines after about 15 years, however.

Hi Ali. I just posted my picture of pomegranates and then saw yours. Different approach. Still, with such colourful fruit, how can we go wrong? I do like your avalanche of pmegranates, lovely light making them shiny and fresh. Nice frame. Well done. Salaam. Klaudio.

Good shot of this excellent fruit. It also clearly is a symbol of "bereket" in especially the Armenian culture. The photo could be a little sharper but overall, great compo.

"Anar" in Persian, right? Beautiful shot and very representative of Iran, of course. I like that there is one split in half in the top right hand corner.
