Photographer’s Note
Yazd (Central Iran): Wind Towers of Yazd - 'Baadgeer' or 'wind catchers'- are very characteristic of the cnetral Iranian city of Yazd. As the name indicates the wind catchers were and are built to keep the buildings cooler during the hot and dry summers when the heat gets unbearable.
