A shrine in the holy place called "Tomb of 12 Imam" in Yazd, an ancient city in central Iran.

Light conditions were rather difficult. No flash used.

that's a really interesting shot. one that i had never thought i would see. the patterns and the colours contrast really well with the shape of the figure in front of the shrine, whom, in my naivete, will assume is a woman. i can understand your situation with the lighting but you have done very well. great job.

La foto è interessantissima, grande risultato anche tecnico date le condizioni di luce - ma io credevo che questi luoghi sacri fossero interdetti non solo ai fotografi, ma anche ai non mussulmani.
Un'altra domanda: avevi una guida femmina nella visita dei luoghi, che tu poi hai usato come soggetto nero dovunque??? Ottimamente, del resto!

Again, I'm enjoying the pure black silhouette, almost like a cut-out, somehow adding a modernist element to what is essential a portrayal of traditional architecture and clothing. I like it.

Hey Stefano,
Now it's getting very hard to pick which one of your Iran shots is going to be my favourite.
I like this for the colour and the detail. Very nicely composed, you have balanced the image very well.
Did you start out thinking you'd include a woman dressed in black in each shot or did it just happen along the way.
