Photographer's Note

In the last week of August 2008, I had the opportunity to travel to Iran.

The first place I visited was the Tehran Bazaar. Deep inside was a courtyard with this very interesting mosque.

The artwork is very detailed and well maintained.

It was sadly not possible to get a 'front on' picture as there was no space. Taking a pic from the side was not my first choice, but still - such a spectacular structure.

It is a real working mosque - all the shop keepers from the bazaar come here for their prayers.

If you are ever in Tehran - go and take a look!
