Every year Irainian Celebrates the longest night of the year called "Shabe Yalda" or "shabe Chelle"
We Often go to the oldest member of familly's house and celebrate this night by reading Hafez's poems.
In this night we try to use thing that used in past and be far from technology,
So we use Samavar and korsi and candles and oil lights,
and we eat winter foods anf nuts, such as watermelon and grandier,...
In the past in winters the whole familly sat around a table that coverd with thick blankets callesd Korsi.

Şeb-i Yelda is the longest night of year (21 December). Thats why people get together in this night. At the past times national and religious stories has been nerrated by grandfathers.
I think all nights far from darling are şeb-i yelda. :))
