[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These are the mountains north-east of Tehran. Mountains have a real magic quality to them. Iran's mountains are mineral rich, and the various colours of minerals such as iron(orange) are visible on the surface.

The two people look more like they just landed from another planet, on what seems to be like another alien planet.

It actually does look a bit like earth here, but the striations of the mountains are in all directions, from horizontal to vertical! There is grass in the foreground but then the gray hills in the middle are practically baren and then get quite covered with the red hills beyond. All withing a few hundered meters.

It would be hard to tell what is horizontal had the two figure not been there. Without them, I would tend to rotate the photo CCW, then the earth layers in the middle hills would be vertical! A real eye twister.

All this disorientation makes one want to be a pinball let loose in these voluptuous valleys - with a lot of other pinballs.

Good that you didn't include any sky. It adds to the mystery, and given that there are no shadows, it is eitehr an early jail break or a late afternoon landing, or both.

The more I study it the more I like it, but hard to say why.
