In the Heart of a Fire Temple Photo

Photographer’s Note

As I said before , one of the important relics of Khaje Mountain is the remnants of a fire-temple , a palatial structure, with spectacular architectural finish and overlooking a vast court-yard. It has a large gateway and a square hall with corridors around. This structure dates to the first century AD. The surrounding ruins are related to the Parthian and Sassanide periods.
They say unique murals had decorated the walls of the fortress, few of which have survived.

We couldn't find any of them in the place you see; perhaps they take them to the museums or cover them to keep them safe . Here you can see 2 murals which I have found their photos in other sites . 1 and 2

I took the shot in the court-yard of the fire temple.

Salam Atousa.So much history, so much to preserve for generations to come. Pity about the murals.I don't think it was a religious reason as in Iran the human figure has been painted under Islam. Excellent POV and light.The inclusion of the human figures was a good move. Regards. Klaudio.

the composition is wise with the inclusion of the earthy structires and the clear blue sky. I imagine the feeling of being in that place would have been that of being taken back into history.

It's another excellent presentation of that exotic place. The ruins make a very interesting pattern, its colours make a beautiful contrast with the clear blue sky. I like the layered compo and the undulating curves of the of the ruins and of the horizon. The inclusion of the people allows a great sense of scale.

Another nice POV from this historical place . The murals are really attractives .The painting of the king or Parthian dignitary seen on a horse and some of the other image that discovered from this place are part of the few remaining Parthian art in Iran.
